The services provided by Emanuel are completely free to the families in their care and relies on the generous donations of organisations and individuals, both here in the UK and in Romania. When the hospice began it was funded almost entirely by uk donors, today that has radically changed and despite the overwhelming poverty in Romania the local community has dug deep to help support and sustain this invaluable work and almost half their current income is raised in Romania.

You can partner with us in this vital work and make a difference in the lives of those suffering today and help build a bright hope for tomorrow.

You may wish to volunteer your time and skills here in the UK or in Romania.

There are lots of different ways you could volunteer your time and skills for the benefit of the patients cared for by Emanuel Hospice. We organise a number of events here in uk and need teams of dedicated volunteers to help make these happen, is this something you would be interested in?

Do you have administrative and IT skills you’d be willing to use to support the trustees in their endeavours?

Do you have professional palliative care experience you would be willing to share with the team in Romania? Would you be willing to go out and work alongside the Romania team to share your knowledge and experience? Do you have teaching experience?

Do you have practical skills that could be used to help those in need, are you handy with a hammer or paintbrush? Occassionally we take practical teams to Romania to help renovate/decorate patients homes or carry out much needed maintenance at the hospice offices – could you see yourself doing that?

These are just some examples of ways you could get involved, but please don’t think that if your particular gifts & skills aren’t mentioned here that you can’t help. Please get in touch and we can explore the options with you.

Our supporters raise money for us in many different ways, from sponsored events, to quiz nights, meals, ceilidhs and concerts, the options are limited only by your imagination. You may choose to do something as an individual or get your local church group, rotary, school etc to join you, we’ve even had someone ask for donations instead of birthday presents.

Whether you do something on your own, like run a marathon and get friends and colleagues to sponsor you or you arrange an event for others to join in, we will help you in any way we can. If you would like someone to come out and speak to your group or would like some literature to distribute then just get in touch.
